1. What can I do to support my child's learning at home?
     Parents you can reinforce what your child went over in school. Set aside time for homework and study time. Keep the lines of communication open with your child's teachers. 
2. How can I access my child's grades online?
     Parents, come in and see our Parent Liaison. who is equipped with assisting you to set up your parent portal.  Therefore, you can access your child's grades and have 24 - hour access.
3. Do teachers offer after school tutorial?
     You must check with the individual teacher, but some teachers do offer after school tutoring. 
4. What are the rules for visiting/observing my child's classrooms?
     Parents you are welcome to visit/observe your child's classroom at anytime, as long as the class is not taking standardized tests. During your observation it is not a time to conference with the teacher, because there are other students in the classroom. 
5. How can I schedule a parent-teacher's conference?
      If you would like to schedule a parent/teacher conference, please contact our Parent Liaison.  We will accommodate your need to meet with your child's teachers.
6. Why do students have to carry their books all day?
      Students are allowed to go to the lockers in the morning and must retrieve everything necessary for their classes. This process prevents your child from being tardy to the next class.    
7. What is the latest time I can check my child out of school?
     The latest time to check out your student is 3:00 PM
8. What time does school begin and end?
    Students can enter the school at 8:25AM and must be seated in their homeroom class no later than 8:45 AM daily.  School is dismissed at 3:45 PM.
9. What are the list of school supplies that my child will need?
      A generic supply list can be located on the school's website. Sometimes teachers may have their own list of supplies that is required for their class. 
10. Does Sequoyah offer after extra curricular activities or have any after school clubs?  
      Yes, Sequoyah does offer extra curricular activities: Fall (football, volleyball),  Winter (basketball), and Spring (swimming, track and field). Clubs (Math Club,  Book Club, Social Butterflies (female mentoring group) , ITTIA (male mentoring group) are offered after school.
